In April 2002 I had  A Vision from the Lord and He showed me that many Christians are deep into the things of God, but they are not witnessing to the lost.  I felt the deep grieving sorrow of the Lord's heart.  Many unbelievers were needlessly going into an eternity full of pain, suffering, sorrow and torment simply because no one witnessed to them. God told me that He was coming soon and the Christians really needed to start witnessing now.  I hear many Christians say:  I Want to Witness, But What Do I Say?   Others are afraid to witness, so they need encouragement to get courage and get compassion.  

          While leading a witnessing outreach at the Mall, I discovered that the hardest part about witnessing is just getting started.  The devil tries to block or hinder Christians from transitioning an everyday conversation onto the Gospel topic so that they cannot even get started!   He may use fear or confusion causing their mind to go blank so that they cannot transition and start witnessing. So I prayed that God would help me and He answered my prayer through giving me the idea of:   "object evangelism icebreakers."   You simply make a comment about how the object in front of you and the unbeliever reminds you of some aspect of the Gospel...and voila!  You are on the Gospel track.  It is natural, conversational,  indirect easy to use as you will see as you look at these pictures.  If it is thoughtfully spoken, it does not even sound like you are witnessing, but you are!  Several people received Jesus Christ as as their Lord at the Mall.  I have several testimonies.   It really works because it is so practical.  There are lots of reasons to use them, but I think that the best reason to use them is because if an unbeliever does not get saved, then the object remains behind to remind them and convict them of what you said about the Gospel regarding that object.   The following link describes the Top Top 10 Reasons to Use Object Evangelism Icebreakers   

          After the mall outreach, over the next two years, God started giving me object evangelism icebreakers wherever I went until I had over 400 icebreakers in over 40 locations. I wrote them down in a book.  But then in August 2007 the Lord prompted me to put my ideas on how to witness around a golf course into a little yellow Golf tract for Christians to use during for the PGA Golf Tournament. So I did.  Then He told me to re-format ALL of the object evangelism ideas into user-friendly train tracts and put them on a website.  So then after 9 months, www.traintracts.com was finally birthed.  The Lord showed me that using object evangelism icebreakers is really witnessing the way that Jesus did it.   In Matthew 13, Jesus used object evangelism icebreakers in the form of parables.  He said:  "The kingdom of Heaven is like...a mustard seed (vs. 31); leaven in dough (vs. 33);  treasure hidden in a field (vs. 44);  a merchant looking for fine pearls (vs. 45);  or a net cast into the sea (vs. 47).  So this is the way that Jesus taught about the Kingdom of God and how He witnessed to the lost.  He witnessed to people, not just door to door, but wherever He went.  So where do you go?  Look on the left sidebar at the Train Tracts  and decide which ones you want to buy.         Now after some receives Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, which is also called: born again, saved (from hell), or converted into the Kingdom of God, then it is important to share with the new believer about how to pray to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.   If they have never heard of it do not understand, then you give them ten reasons why Christians should want the Baptism of the Holy Spirit or their prayer language and for further explanation from the Bible to help you there are scriptures for speaking in tongues.  

        For those of you Christians that want to do what the Bible says in 1 Cor. 14:1 and desire spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy, I encourage you try witnessing using prophetic evangelism.

The first icebreaker God gave me was SUBWAY:  "As I eat this subway sandwich, it reminds me of how Jesus is the WAY and He was the perfect SUB or substitute for my sins.  He died for me so that I could have eternal life..." Then a teenager who worked there said the sinner's prayer with me & got saved!

They are easy to use because they are naturally conversa- tional and indirect, and kindly spoken with the love of God

   The devil wants all semblance of God taken out of society - We need to fight back through telling people about Jesus Christ's saving love.  With kind respect & compassionate boldness, we Christians must witness to them.
