OBJECTION:
Isn't it narrow-minded for Christians to think they are the only ones
who are right? |
|
The issue isn't whether we’re narrow-minded or not. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus Christ claimed to be the unique pathway to God. Through Jesus, you can know there is a definite way to contact God instead of wondering which way is right. That is what Jesus is all about. Jesus is certainly intolerant - of sin and mankind's lost state, which leads to eternity in hell and separation from God forever. Sin separates us from God like a wall. Because Jesus loves us so much, He couldn’t stand the thought of His created people being separated from Himself for all eternity, so He made the decision to suffer and die for our sins on the cross. He paid the penalty for our sins, so that those who believed in Him and received Him as their Lord and Savior could be reconciled to God and have eternal life. |
