I Want to Witness, But What Do I Say to:  New Agers?

 Deception:

Truth to Say to New Agers:

New Age represents the self-conscious spiritualization of the human potential movement. Their main concern is to be whoever they are authentically are.

“Spiritual experiences” from God or the Holy Spirit only come if you know Jesus as your Lord.   Any other spiritual experience is not from God, but from demons.  Would you like to pray and receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

Secular humanism:  Man is the standard by which all life is judged. Thus values, law, justice, good, beauty, and right & wrong all are to be judged by man-made rules with no credence to God or Bible.

Since man’s wisdom is limited, there is no way we can solve all of our own problems.  Only God has all wisdom, all power and all knowledge.  Since God created the world and He created us, we must humbly honor God & abide by His moral standard and rules in the Bible. God is the Judge.

There is no absolute truth. Everything is relative. It may be true for you, but it is not true for me.

Individual circumstances are important, but everything is not relative nor absolute.  You cannot say, “God exists for me, but does not exist for you.”  We don’t create our own reality. Absolute truth does exist. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the only true way to heaven.  John 14:6.  So truth is not a what, but a who - Truth is Jesus Christ.

Spiritual truth comes from within.  It is something to be discovered within the sanctity of the self rather than in an external aid or tool.

Jeremiah 17:9: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?  Prov. 28:26 says, “He that trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whoso walks wisely shall be delivered.”  Truth comes from the Bible.

We are in charge of our lives.

Christians submit their lives to the Father Who loves them.

We can communicate with the dead for guidance, knowledge and confirmation

We can receive guidance & some knowledge of the future from the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 2:10).  God forbids communi- cating with the dead or familiar spirits, who are from the devil.  It is an abomination to the Lord.  Deut. 19:10-13

New Age affirms its faith in both spiritual seeking & the validation of private experience and offers a new form of mysticism of becoming a god.

I agree we should be godly, but it is not godly to want to be a god.  There is no other God besides God. He is all powerful and all knowing and He is perfect. There is none beside Him.  God does want us to walk in godly character.

We have a right to make decisions that reflect personal inner needs & desires. We are no longer expected to automatically follow the dictates of authority.

Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass.”  Your needs will be met when you follow God, Who loves you.

We can heal ourselves.  There are several techniques to assist the spiritually aware person to remove the negative or evil as a figment of the imagination….such as Yoga, Zen, iridology, t’ai chi, shiatsu, gestalt, Rolfing, reiki, reflexology, aikido

Murder, violent crime, theft, rape, adultery, pornography, etc. prove that there is evil in many people’s minds. 2 Cor. 10:4-5 says that Christians are to cast down evil imaginations & ungodly thoughts and renew their minds through meditating on the Word of God, which will heal their soul (3 John 2).  Jesus is the Healer – Exodus 15:26

Would you like to Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Have Eternal Life in Heaven?  Then Pray this Salvation Prayer:  “Heavenly Father, I believe You love me and that Your Son Jesus Christ died for me on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead.  Jesus, I repent for all of my sins. I repent for all the wrong things I have done.  I repent for believing those lies and now I believe the truth.  Now I ask You, Jesus,  to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I want to live for You.  Holy Spirit, come fill me with Your power.  Thank You for loving and forgiving me, for saving me from hell, and giving me eternal life in heaven.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
