I Want to Witness, But What Do I Say to: Scientologists

Truth to Say to: Scientologists |

Ron Hubbard is the founder of Scientology and he was in several films himself over his lifetime. The word: “Scientology” was conceived by Hubbard. It means in Latin: scio - the study of knowledge. |
The Bible says in Rom 12:1-2 to: “Renew your mind with the Word of God so that you may know, the good, the acceptable and the perfect will of God.” |
Dianetics was introduced into the much broader field of Scientology to provide some kind of “therapy” around 1950. The goal of Scientology is true spiritual enlightenment and freedom thru their “counseling” which has different terminology that what in normally used. |
To come into “true spiritual enlightenment” one must become born-again through believing and praying to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Then one needs to study the Word of God to understand who they are in Christ because true freedom comes through Him alone. |
A preclear is a person undergoing counseling, or a client or a patient |
So a preclear is someone who is still in bondage to sin or in emotional distress. |
Auditing is “scientology counseling” taken from audich meaning: “to hear or listen.” Its goal is to help an individual look at his own existence and improve his ability to confront what he is and where he is through helping the individual rid himself of any spiritual disabilities and increasing their abilities. The Auditor is “the counselor” |
This sounds like what a pastor is called to do for members of his congregation if he does any counseling. Also the Holy Spirit can lead us and guide us much like the Good Shepherd. There are many Life Coaches that are out there today helping Christians become all that God has called them to be. |
The Auditor uses an E-meter - a device that measures the spiritual state or change of state of a person that helps locate the areas of spiritual distress needed to be handled when asked a whole series of questions about their past relationships and past experiences. The auditor never tells the preclear what he should think about himself, nor offers his opinion because the goal of auditing is to restore the preclear’s certainty in his own viewpoint. So, evaluation or judgment of the preclear only inhibits attainment of this goal, so it is prohibited by the Code. |
The Bible says that the way that we delete and defeat these bad memories is in found in 2 Corin. 10:4-5: “Casting down imaginations and everything high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.” The auditors do not evaluate nor judge their preclear, so they do not give them any Biblical guidance. But it says in 2 Tim. 3:16-17 that “all scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” Also Romans 12:1-2. I can see why Holly wood stars are attracted to scientology because a lot of them do live sinful lives and in scientology, no judgment is given for the sinful things they do. |
The goal is to be “clear.” A clear is a person who no longer has his own reactive mind and therefore suffers no more ill effects from it. In scientology, to become “clear” is their form of “salvation”
Scientology is a “works-based” religion that mentions nothing about sin. Salvation is based on self and not on grace through faith in Jesus. The truth is: All of us have sinned and our sin separates us from God. You can only receive the forgiveness of your sins when you pray to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you will be reconciled with God and have eternal life |
Scientology teaches the following DECEPTIONS: - Man is an immortal spiritual being. |
The Bible in Hebrews 9:27 that “it is appointed unto men once to die and after this the judgment” So man is a mortal being. We humans are not in a cycle of reincarnation. |
- His capabilities are unlimited, even if not realized. |
Phil 4:13 says: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” But that has to be in line with God’s will for our lives, so our abilities may be limited as we submit to God in our lives. |
- Scientology says that spiritual salvation depends upon himself and his fellows and his attainment of brotherhood with the universe |
Salvation depends upon believing and them praying to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Christians often call other Christians in the family of God, “brothers and sisters in Christ.” |
- Scientology is a religion that offers a precise path leading to a complete and certain understanding of one’s true spiritual nature and of one’s relationship with self, family, groups, mankind, all life forms, the universe & the Supreme Being. Scientology addresses the spirit - and believes that man is far more than a product of his environment, or his genes. |
Christianity is rooted in a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit that indwells the born-again believer leads us to understand many things as we read the Word of God. The Bible also says in Prov. 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all of your heart (your spirit) and lean not to your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Any mental image pictures that a preclear saw in auditing I believe were familiar spirits, also called demons, manifesting themselves to make the preclear think that the painful incident happened in a previous life. |
